July Favourites

July is one of my favourite months. Birthday celebrations, ending the school year, beginning summer: for me it's such a big month and so many things go on during it. It may be belated, but today I am going to be talking about things I enjoyed throughout last month!

Soap and Glory Whipped Clean Shower Butter (£7)

Think brown sugar, honey, bananas, and oats blended into a thick, rich body cream to be used in the shower. A total dream, non? This shower butter I have being really enjoying lately, mostly for its moisturising factors which don't often occur in standard shower gels or body washes. For £7 some may find this arguably pricey in comparison to the usual shower gel, but for those who struggle with dry skin and want silky skin for the summer, it's definitely worth getting your hands on!

Victoria's Secret Sheer Love Body Mist (£10)

Ever since these body mists came into Super drug I have being longing for one, particularly in this scent, so when my friend Daisy very kindly gave this to me for my birthday I was over the moon. It's fragrance is described as white cotton and luminous pink lily, which those who steer clear of floral scents may cringe at, but personally I think this is the perfect balance of floral and fresh. For just £10 you also get lotsa body mist so these are great to stock up on for a holiday maybe.

Real Techniques Eye Starter Set (£21)

You can never have too many brushes, I tell myself as I stand in boots looking at these wonderful brushes on offer. July for me was the month for eyes, as I finally became more experimental with them and these helped me make a good start on them. Cruelty-free, synthetic brushes that are duo-fibre and super soft are always the way to go in my opinion. If you too are starting out with eyes, than these help so so much!

Ysl Touche Eclat Foundation (£32.50, in the shade b10)

It feels like I have being longing for this foundation forever, and opening this on my birthday made me super happy (thanks, mom!). I love the coverage on this foundation because it doesn't feel at all mask like or cakey, just a nice and medium coverage every day foundation. A good dupe for this would be the true match foundation by L'Oreal, but if you would like to go for something more luxury then give this a whirl. I promise you won't regret it!

Nars Copacabana Liquid Illuminator (£23)

Another wonderful gift I kindly received from my friend Holly (check out her blog here) was this beautiful highlighter from Nars. I have being really enjoying mixing this in with my foundation to create a lit from within sheen, or applying it on top for a beautiful luminescent glow, and the overall shade of this is stunning. It's the first thing I have owned from Nars and has really set a great impression!

Nyx Baked Blush in 'Ladylike' (£6.50)

My friend Casey (check out her blog here) was also kind enough to buy me this beautiful blush a long with the Mary Lou Manizer from the balm. This blush is seriously incredible, with it's shimmery veining running through it and such a healthy appearance on the cheeks. It doubles up as a highlighter which I love and it's just overall a brilliant blush!

Mac Lipstick in Velvet Teddy (£15,50)

For a long time I went off Mac makeup completely, but when Casey was doing my makeup one day she used this shade on me and it made such a nice change from my usual pink and peach lipsticks. It's a lovely brownish-nude lipstick that is suprisingly flattering on all skin tones and goes so well with most eyeshadow looks. I am so in love with this lately and like I said, it's a refreshing new change.

OGX anti-breakage keratin oil (7.35)

As somebody who currently has heat damaged hair (blog post coming soon!) this has being such a life saver. Keratin is stripped when you straighten your hair, so I tend to look for products that will help to restore it, and this makes my hair feel so silky and shiny. It totally saves breakage and I have noticed such a difference in my hair!

I hope you all enjoyed this post and let me know how your July went! What have you being up to?
